a few nursery pics

Here are a few pictures of little Jackson's nursery. All it needs now is a little Jackson (and curtains, a rug & a few more things on the wall yet to be purchased, but we doubt he'll even notice)! We have 8 days left until the due date, but would love for our little man to come early, but I guess we'll have to wait and see! If I get brave enough, I'll get Ben to take a 39 week picture of me to post on here! I've been at the point the last few weeks where I can't go anywhere without being asked if I'm fixing to pop by somebody!

a great day

I came across this picture from a shower that was thrown for me a little over a month ago. Friends, Colette and Rachel threw a lunch shower for me in downtown Greenville at the park. We ate at the Overlook Grill and it was a beautiful day spent with wonderful friends over lunch! Here's the whole gang!

house pictures

Finally some pictures of our house...you'll have to stay tuned for pictures of the nursery...hopefully after this weekend we will have it finished! I had a Dr.'s appointment this morning (I'm 37 weeks)& she says she'll be surprised if I make it to 40 weeks, which is good news for us since we'll be taking little Jack to the Leadership Project and would like for him to be a few weeks old before we go! But I guess we never know!

Here's the dining room/place to store the stuff we still haven't unpacked yet. Mae asked to be in this picture!

Kitchen of course.

Living room. We have yet to hang any pictures in the house, so the walls look a little bare!

That's it for now...we'll keep you posted on the pregnancy progress!

monthly update

Well, it seems like I am only good at updating this blog monthly, so I guess it's time for another entry! Today is our 3rd anniversary (and Earth Day b/c we are so eco-friendly)! It's hard to believe that 3 years have gone by already. We never went on a "babymoon" like most people do, so we decided to go on a one-night getaway tonight (not too far away since baby Jack is due in less than a month). My qualification for a place to stay was an indoor pool (to relieve some body pains from carrying around this big ol belly) and Ben's qualification was a jacuzzi tub in the room....so Holiday Inn Express in Hendersonville here we come! I joked this morning that probably only rednecks go to the Holiday Inn for their anniversary, but what can I say, we are what we are!
I got really motivated yesterday to take pictures of our house to post on here, when the water guys came and parked a big tractor in the front yard because we have some major leak between the house & the road. So still no pictures & I guess when I do post them, we will have a torn up yard!
I'll try to post more in the weeks to come since our little guy will be arriving soon!
Here's a 35 1/2 weeks preggo pic with my great friend Frances (37-38 weeks preggo). It's been fun to go through this pregnancy together even though this is her 3rd!

we are here

We just wanted our blog readers to know that we are here & getting settled into our house here in Greenville. The move was fairly smooth...the only casualty was our really old bed finally kicked the bucket & broke for good! Other than that everything went great. We had a "dream team" of PC students that helped us move...I told them they should hire themselves out they did such a great job! We are doing well...Ben is busy doing the things around the house that his pregnant wife can't do, and I am doing what I can & have been a little weepy missing our old home and Clinton. It was more sad for me to leave than I thought it would be, but I know a lot of that is the preggo hormones, but this really is a big transition I guess!
We will post pictures after we get more "nested"!

update: on the move

That's right, the Creasman clan is on the move. Next Monday, we will load up the uhaul (with the help of a lot of students we hope) and move to the big city of Greenville...up near Furman to be exact. Our financial supporters know this, but Ben is changing roles & will now be an area director for Campus Outreach over Presbyterian College and Furman University. Us moving to Furman will enable him to get to know the Furman environment a little bit better, he'll be closer to the other directors, and it will enable the younger staff here at PC to step up in leading the ministry movement at PC without us veterans here! We are excited about this new opportunity, but we are sad to be leaving a place we have lived for so long & have loved for so long. There are way too many memories to count of our time in Clinton at PC...our times as students, as single staff, as a dating/enaged couple & then 3 years of married life! Good thing we aren't going very far & we will be back on a weekly basis--that helps to make this not so hard!

Pray for our move...this is our first one since we've been married & its a big job!

Here's a picture of the cute litte house we will be saying goodbye to.

And here's a picture of my not so little baby bump taken a week ago (and they say black makes you look skinny!)...I'll be 31 weeks this week...it's going by so fast!!!

We will update when we get settled in & let you know how things are going!

ladies first

Well since girls love to take pictures & since I don't have any pictures yet from the "Man vs. Wild" weekend, I'm going to post the girls getaway pictures first. We had a great time. It was a lively bunch to say the least & I was proud of myself for hanging with the college girls until 2:30 in the morning. It made me a little sad to think that I won't get to do stuff like that as often after our little guy arrives...but I'm sure I'll have many more lively nights when he comes along!
This is the 3rd year we have carried on the tradition of making music videos. We select really fun songs beforehand, put girls in a group & have them prepare a music video to go along with the song, we dress up, we record them, we vote on them, we give prizes & then we watch them all again on video. It is awesome & pretty much every girl's dream to be in a music video. Every woman needs to do it!

Our group made a video to "The Circle of Life" from "The Lion King". Needless to say, we made use of my baby bump to demonstrate the circle of life at work!

Of course, we won best overall performance!

The whole gang!
