Update on our Position:
Well, we just wanted to let you guys know what we feel like the Lord is doing in and through us at PC and through Campus Outreach. As some of you may know when Kaye and I came on staff we both had a minimum commitment of 4 years. Kaye’s was obviously extended because of our marriage and mine will be met at the end of next year. Over the past year, God has been at work in the both of us, shaping and teaching us more about this role on staff. We have learned very much about this role and feel like the Lord has gifted us in many ways to fulfill this position. In light of this, we believe that the Lord may be leading us to stay on staff beyond the normal commitment for at least the next 2-3 years, if not longer. We really enjoy what we do and are excited about where the Lord is leading us.
As we move forward with this new commitment, we must consider the condition of our prayer & financial support because we believe that God is not only raising us up to continue to go and minister on the campus, but that He is also raising up people to help send us. All of you have played a role in our going over the past 4 years and we are very thankful for your partnership. As we assess these prayer and financial needs, we are asking the Lord to raise up the rest of the remaining needs from within our current support team. We already have about 100 people who are currently on our team in either a consistent giving role or giving as they can. Because we desire to keep our supporters involved as much as possible, it is difficult to do with a number so high. Therefore, instead of going out and searching for more people to join our team, we are asking that you all consider raising your commitments with us as we move forward to provide for our prayer and financial needs. We also want you to consider committing to growing with us in your commitment as we potentially grow as a family in the future.
As of today, our support is about $1889.14 short of our monthly goal and we have a $2200.00 deficit. (Meaning, we have $1889.14 more a month to raise and we owe Campus Outreach $2200.00, which will continue to grow as we come up short each month that passes.) This is a result of some of our commitments not coming in over the past year or so. So, we are really asking for individuals who desire to come onto our support to give in some consistent way. We also ask that as you consider this you would really consider an amount that you will give despite what other financial barriers may arise and trust the Lord to provide for that which He has called you to give.
We are excited about where the Lord is calling us and those of you who will be joining us on this journey. I thank the Lord for all that He has done at Presbyterian College and your role in this ministry. We together can continue to be confident that “He who called us is faithful” and he will continue the work of redemption in our lives and the lives of those we are called to minister to.
