I'm 9 weeks old today!

I’m 9 weeks old today…seems like just yesterday I was cramped up in mama’s belly. Here are some fun facts about me…
-I love to stretch!
-The nicknames my mom and dad call me are…booger, bonky, jack-boy, and scoob
-I’m a great sleeper, I just don’t like to sleep for long stretches at night…mom says I should seriously consider it
-I’m a very emotional eater…I want my food and I want it fast…I get mad when I have to stop eating to burp
-Mom and Dad tell me that I make a lot of noise…I like to grunt & coo…if I’m awake I’m making some noise
-My best friend is that smiley star on my baby Einstein gym…he’s so great…always got a smile on his face…I’ve never seen him frown!
-I also like the bumbo seat…it helps me to go number 2 so mom & dad call it my toilet
-I love to smile at my parents…they make such silly faces
-I love my carseat but only when it’s moving…that’s what a carseat’s for, right?
-I tee tee on my own face at least every other day…I like to see my parents’ reaction when I do!
-I went to the doctor today and I weigh 13 lbs, am 23 ¾ inches long, and I can’t remember how big my head was, but dr. w says I’m in the 75th percentile across the board—I like to be proportional!

A note from mom…
Jackson is growing up so fast! I get emotional sometimes just looking at him b/c he is changing and growing so fast & won’t be a little baby forever. It’s been a tough couple of months but things are starting to level out a little more now! He was such a big boy for his shots today…he didn’t cry for very long. We usually can’t get him to take a paci, but today he sucked the heck out of that thing all the way home from the doc—guess he was hurting a little!

We head back to the beach for return training on Tuesday. We are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone and spending time with PC and Furman students and helping them prepare for this next year on campus!

here are some recent pics of the jack boy. he is growing so fast it's hard to believe! we are back at home for the month of july but will return to the beach project at the end of the month for a week. we are thankful to have some down time & to get to know our little guy more and more! we are still tired...jackson on his best night has slept 6 hours straight, but he usually only does one four hour stretch which leaves us still not having slept through the night for almost 7 weeks! but we can't really complain...he is a fairly easy baby except for when he is hungry! he only cries when he's hungry, gassy, or sleepy. enjoy the pics.

I'm growing up!

Our little family is down in Myrtle Beach at the Leadership Project. I think very often how I want to post pictures of our little guy for all the blog world to see how cute he is, but haven't found the time to quite yet...plus not having internet at our motel kind of inhibits my ability to connect with the outside world. But hopefully more pictures to come soon. Jackson and I enjoyed our stroll to Starbucks this morning & he's sleeping peacefully in his stroller in the shade so maybe I will venture out more often to use the internet! So stay tuned for pictures of our little man! We are adjusting to life here & will be here for 2 more weeks. It's great to be around community though our roles look a lot different with a newborn on our hands! Being a parent is such a strange but great combination of hard & really wonderful...my respect for moms and dads has grown tremendously in the past 3 and a half weeks!!

well, our son is 10 days old now and i have yet to post about him! i guess when you are already a bad blogger and then you have a baby, you definitely don't get better at it! and the other thing is that we can't find our cord that connects the camera to the computer...hope to find that soon!

but jackson benjamin creasman started making his way into the outside world on his due date, but didn't quite make it on time. after 33 hours of not so fun labor he arrived at 11:39am on the 21st. he weighed in at 8 lbs, 7 oz! we do have these two pictures taken from ben's phone. this will have to tie you over until we find our computer cord. these are just a couple of the many faces of jackson. parenthood sure is hard but we love our little/big guy to pieces! hopefully more to come soon.

new staff picture

you can tell i'm bored (waiting around on baby) when i begin updating our blog weekly instead of every other month or so! anyway, this is the latest picture of our staff team including all the newbies (9 new staff are coming on this year!). we all had dinner together at chicora alley in downtown greenville, a staff team favorite & shared victories and struggles over the last year. it was a lot of fun. our director asked those staff that became christians during college through our ministry to raise their hands and most of our staff fell into that category, which is really cool. we love what we do and we really love our team so we hope you enjoy the pic!
oh, we also got "staff awards" for the year, which were kind of a joke. frances and i (the severely pregnant ones) won the "watermelon smuggling" award. we were so encouraged.

Ok, here I am at "about to pop weeks" (also know as 39 weeks). Hopefully there will not be a 40 week or 41 week picture, but we will see!

a few nursery pics

Here are a few pictures of little Jackson's nursery. All it needs now is a little Jackson (and curtains, a rug & a few more things on the wall yet to be purchased, but we doubt he'll even notice)! We have 8 days left until the due date, but would love for our little man to come early, but I guess we'll have to wait and see! If I get brave enough, I'll get Ben to take a 39 week picture of me to post on here! I've been at the point the last few weeks where I can't go anywhere without being asked if I'm fixing to pop by somebody!
